AFMC MBBS Counselling 2017: Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is accepting online counselling, screening registration for Admission in MBBS courses via portal. AFMC Pune Online registration started on 3rd July 2017 to 11 July 2017 (1700 hrs). AFMC, Pune is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognized by the Medical Council of India. Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is a premier medical institute of India. The College is a Centre of Excellence for medical education and research. It was initially established in 1948 for postgraduate courses. The graduate wing for the MBBS course was started on 04 Aug 1962 with the aim of inducting medical graduates to the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).

Bond Agreement AFMC Pune

The candidate applying for AFMC Pune MBBS admission 2017 must check the BOND AGREEMENT.  Bond agreement for 28,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Eight Lakhs only). Any candidate withdrawing from the college after 7 days of admission [after 1600hrs (4 PM)] will have to pay Bond Money as per existing rules.

Total Seats in AFMC Pune

A total of 130 medical cadets (105 boys & 25 girls) will be admitted for the year 2017. In addition to the above 130 seats, Govt of India at its discretion through Ministry of External Affairs & Ministry of Defence may sponsor and select foreign students from friendly foreign countries for MBBS training in AFMC, under their aid/collaboration programmes.

Seat Reservation

Ten seats out of 130 are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) subject to the provisions.

Food & Mess

All medical cadets residing in the hostel are required to be members of the Mess attached to the hostel. Vegetarian / non-vegetarian food is served in the cadets’ mess as per the choice of the medical cadets.

Games & Extra-Curricular

Medical cadets are required to particípate in games, sports and gymnastics. Facilities for sports such as cricket, tennis, squash, hockey, football, volleyball, basketball, handball, table tennis, aquatics and gymnastics are available.
(a) There is an auditorium for screening of movies, membership for which is compulsory.
(b) Medical cadets with service liability are entitled to free outpatient/inpatient/dental treatment at all times in any service hospital/dental centre to the extent of medical facilities available locally. Periodic Medical Examination/Medical Board as considered necessary would also be carried out.
(c) All medical cadets are required to undergo an Annual Medical Examination.


NEET-UG 2017 passed by the candidate, on the result of which they become eligible to apply for admission to the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune (i.e. Class 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology).

Rank and Salary

The cadet commissioned from AFMC Pune Salary Chart is given below. Armed Forces Medical Services as Commissioned Officers in one of the three services, viz. Army, Navy and Air Force. On the basis of merit-cum-choice, 50% of the medical cadets are offered Permanent Commission (PC) and the rest Short Service Commission (SSC). Promotions to next higher ranks exist in the Cadre subject to satisfactory service and fitness for the rank. The rank structure and the promotions along with initial monthly basic pay as per recommendations of 7th pay commission [GoI, Min of Defence Resolution No. 1(7)/2016/D(Pay/Services) dated 28 Jun 2017]
